Abby Sunderland began her solo journey around the world on Saturday January 23, at around 12:30. Abby was surrounded by family and friends. Home schooled; no television or computer games it is clear that the Sunderland family seek adventure to replace these common place activities Abby had many set backs in her departure date, due to unforeseen circumstances.
