There are two schools of thought for combining foods. One is based on the categories of food - starch, protein, fat, acid, sugar - which, for optimal digestion, should or should not be combined together. The other school of thought, and the one that I will focus on here, is the combining of foods containing compatible vitamins and minerals which will enhance the absorption and assimilation of nutritive values. This approach to food combining is often referred to as food synergy.
Whole foods, preferably organic, are superior in bioavailable nutrition over processed foods which may be fortified with laboratory created vitamins and minerals. Because a whole food is nutritionally complete when left untouched and unchanged, it does not need fortification. However, one fruit, vegetable or grain does not contain all the nutrients needed in a healthy diet, so it is wise to smartly combine whole foods with one another for even greater bioavailability.

Most of you know your body needs good nutrition and a minimum of 8 glasses of water a day to function at optimal levels. Yet few of us ever consider the nourishing effects of oxygen.
You are able to live without food for a couple of weeks. You can also live without water for a few days. Yet, you can live without air for only a few minutes. Your body and mind require oxygen. Breathing is the most effective and fastest way to increase energy levels in your body. By learning simple and effective breathing methods, you can greatly reduce stress in your life and achieve new degrees of relaxation.
Did you know that your unconscious mind controls your breathing at a rate of 26,000 breaths a day? Most of us are completely unaware of our own breathing. You can easily increase the energy & lower the stress level of your body by becoming consciously aware of your breath.

As
you know, dollars are tightening here in the USA which puts a big
squeeze on luxuries, indulgences and recreational habits. For the uber
rich, this won't matter too much and for those who live on the bottom
rung of society, this change may go by unnoticed. When you live on
nothing, it's sadly easy to get by on less.
For the rest of
us - the middle-class, the majority, the masses - we will need to
become more conscientious of how and where we spend our money,
especially when it comes to FOOD. A financial crisis is a perfect time
to assess priorities and start voting with your harder-earned greenbacks on those items you want to see survive the economic downturn.
We
need to get comfortable with the notion that what we buy now - today -
we need to purchase with the realization and acceptance that in doing
so we are helping to create this to become our only choice tomorrow. We
vote with our dollars. The one with the most votes wins.
What does this mean?

WHY meditate? By now you’ve heard of the many benefits of meditation. Stress reduction, lowered resting heart rate and pulse, lowered cholesterol levels, increased metabolism, decrease in overall stress, etc. Deepak Chopra (world renowned physician of ayervedic medicine & best selling author) claims you can take 10-15 years off your “aging index” through consistent meditation.
WHAT is meditation? You’ve heard the descriptions: resting the mind, stopping the mind, stopping the thinking process, jamming inner dialogue, like a deep sleep, etc. The descriptions of meditation have you “think” you know what it is. Yet meditation is not a process by which one THINKS. It is a process where by one FEELS and is a state of BEING.
HOW does one meditate? Simple. You can meditate one or two ways. First, let’s talk about what happens when most people (more than half) begin meditating. Generally, people have a lot of internal chatter going on. They may be unaware of just how much is going on until they begin meditating. During this experience they may realize how much the “monkey mind” is chattering. Some people will quit shortly after beginning to meditate thinking and feeling “I can’t do it"... “I’ve failed at attaining enlightenment” in just a few sessions. How unfortunate. If they only realized every one has this experience. It is perfectly normal.
Here are two simple ways to begin enjoying the many benefits of meditation:

"In only a few months, I will observe the one year anniversary of my seven-year-old son’s death. He was injured at one-year-old and lived in a persistent vegetative state for the next six years of our lives. My wife cared for him at home, and I worked during the day. Over these last seven years, I continued to feel something was missing in my life…something more than my son, although he was still the greatest loss, but there was something that had changed that I could never pinpoint. On a related subject, I was recently reunited with an old friend who I haven’t been in contact with for more than a decade. She’s the one who reminded me that no matter the loss, dreams do live on, and by doing this, she brought me clarity and helped me find that missing piece to the puzzle that I confusingly couldn’t find. It was the dream. For those seven years, I lost sight of the dreams that I once had…I lost sight of a future.

Steps for Positive Observation
STEP 1: Recognize
What we are conditioned to experience... Where does the belief come from? Your belief or someone else's belief?
STEP 2: Realize
A positive outlook is a choice... You are always at choice. Example: Are you a smoker or someone who chooses to smoke?
STEP 3: Quantify
The positive and productive potential found within... You are and always have been total potential... Grab it... Grow it!
