Ho'oponopono - To Make Right

Ho'oponopono is an old Hawaiian ritual. The ultimate purpose is to restore balance or to set things right. It frees a person from obligations and old connections. It is also a way to correct the wrongs that have occurred in a person's life. The practice has even been shared with the full council of the United Nations.

1. Think of someone that you feel unaligned with or unsupported by.

2. Construct a STAGE in your mind's eye so that it is BELOW and in FRONT of you.

3. Invite the person or group of people to the stage.

4. Ask the question:    "Are you totally willing to support me in actualizing my true potential and magnificence?"

5. Invite the Infinite Source of Healing Energy and Love to flow through the top of your head into your entire body. See, hear and feel it coming down through the top of your head, filling you up until you are totally whole and totally healed. (Take rich-full breaths while doing this).

6. Allow it to overflow out of your heart to the person or group on the stage so that they also are totally whole, healed and filled with the same infinite energy.

7. Communicate, have a conversation or say whatever needs to be said between the two of you so that forgiveness goes both ways. The goal is to forgive them and they to forgive you.

8. Now CUT the energy connections with them (whatever they my be) so that each person may go, grow and evolve. The connections of the past are released.

If it helps, imagine these energy connections as strings attached to both of you. Cut ALL the strings so none are attached.

9. Notice as they disappear, drift and float away.

10. TEST: If you can now think of this person or group with neutral or positive thoughts, then you are DONE. If "stuff" still comes up when you think of them, then go through the Ho'oponopono process again.

Practice every night so things don't pile up. You are releasing the part of YOU that is THEM. If you can forgive them as well,then great. It does not make what the other person did right, but it establishes peace and acceptance.  Negative thoughts do nothing but pull us down and stop us from growing. When we forgive others were are forgiving ourselves.

Go through the process when you want to resolve or align old relationships, especially with relatives. Again, you are releasing the part of you that stems from another person or group...and vice versa. How often do we live other peoples lives and desires? Your own life and desires are important, are they not?

Steps for Positive Observation

STEP 1: Recognize
What we are conditioned to experience... Where does the belief come from?  Your belief or someone else's belief?

STEP 2: Realize
A positive outlook is a choice... You are always at choice.  Example: Are you a smoker or someone who chooses to smoke?

STEP 3: Quantify
The positive and productive potential found within... You are and always have been total potential... Grab it... Grow it!
