Yoga classes can help cancer survivors sleep better, according to a study released Thursday.Two-thirds of cancer survivors have trouble sleeping, even two years after they've finished chemotherapy or radiation. Even more report persistent fatigue, says study author Karen Mustian of the University of Rochester Cancer Center, whose findings will be formally presented in June at the American Society of Clinical Oncology's annual meeting in Chicago.

Jeff Wilson saw a doctor recently about his high cholesterol — and five other patients with the same problem came to his appointment. It was a "group visit," a growing trend in health care that allows doctors to reach more patients and patients to get more face time with their physician, even if they have to share it.

For more than an hour, the group at Clinix in Centennial chatted with Dr. Raphael d'Angelo, who told them to exercise, cut back on sugar — including beer and soda — and pick up red yeast rice supplements and vitamin D at a health food store. They also got their blood pressure checked and went over medications.

CHICAGO (AP) — One hour of moderate to vigorous exercise a day can help teens beat the effects of a common obesity-related gene with the nickname "fatso," according to a new European study. The message for adolescents is to get moving, said lead author Jonatan Ruiz of the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
