Shared health visits get patients more time with doctors |

Jeff Wilson saw a doctor recently about his high cholesterol — and five other patients with the same problem came to his appointment. It was a "group visit," a growing trend in health care that allows doctors to reach more patients and patients to get more face time with their physician, even if they have to share it.
For more than an hour, the group at Clinix in Centennial chatted with Dr. Raphael d'Angelo, who told them to exercise, cut back on sugar — including beer and soda — and pick up red yeast rice supplements and vitamin D at a health food store. They also got their blood pressure checked and went over medications.
