“The worst thing you could do for those you love and
care for are the things they could and should do for themselves…” - R. Hunt
COMMUNITY...
What does it
take to be a good Leader?: To be a good leader you must have the courage to stand
up and move in the direction that will assist in the well being of the ones
that are following.
Good Member
of the Community?: To be a good member of the community you must always
take care of your self and the affairs of your family first.
A Good
Person?: To be a good person you must have the awareness to
contribute and be of service.
To make
friends with a Stranger?: You must be
inviting and be prepared to give of self.
To make
friends with an Enemy?: Is to be
willing to move beyond what has happened.
To resolve
an argument?: You must display outward
communication that indicates that you have taken responsibility for your actions in the
creation of the disagreement and are willing to work toward what is needed and
let go of the past.
WELLNESS...
Happiness is: About being present in this moment. The old saying
goes...everyone looks but who actually sees, everyone hears but who is
actually listening.
One can
notice Happiness: By being within
themselves in this moment and allowing the awareness to be present.
You know
when you have it when: In your being
present in this very moment; you feel it from deep within.
A really Good Day: Is when you NOTICE what is
going on.
The Perfect Day: Is one that through the
preparation, what you wanted to accomplish is reflected back to you.
A really Bad Day: Is when your thoughts are on
WHY? And all the past.
Balance is: About having relationship with the elements of our
planet.
The energy a
person can tap into: The only way a person can tap into energy of earth,
water, air, fire, spirit, is to know that they exist, to become aware of them.
Awareness in the moment is the key. To use the five senses and trust that they
will allow you to notice the distinctions and qualities of the elements that
are present. Only through awareness can you know the effects of the energy that
is available to you.
The purpose
I serve: Is to be a life long learner
and to share along the way.
CURIOUSITY...
Curiousity is: Knowing that there is more to it.
What happens
when someone is curious?: Is when they
have a yearning to find out what that more is.
YOUTH...
My take on
youth today: So many have been taught or been allowed to act as
though they are helpless. Parents or adults do way too much for them
monetarily, it's about things or lack there of.
My take on
children: Is they can remind us of where we have come from, and
that is from the other side, which is spirit. They can help us to remember what
it is that we project onto other people.
OUR WORLD...LIFE
What can the
world learn from indigenous cultures?: Perhaps the world could learn to show respect for self
and others and all that is available for us in our universe. It's about the
realization of the coming together as One that true greatness is achieved.
How are
indigenous cultures being successful today?: These cultures are relearning and utilizing their own
languages, belief's and values which helps them live their lives through their
own eyes. Knowing who they are from their own indigenous cultural perspective
first is how they are able to adapt and participate in the greater world out
there. The reclaiming of language, beliefs, values and cultural practices that
serve in the growth and evolution of the individual are how indigenous people
and cultures are being successful today.
Where did we
get out of step?: We got out of step when we stopped living from within
ourselves and started living outside ourselves. When we gave up our ability to
think and decide for ourselves. When we were lead to believe life is outside
ourself, and all answers and knowing were in the minds of someone else.
How can we
get back on track?: We can get back on track by realizing that life is
inside and truly it's about having relationship with yourself first. So living from the awareness and knowing from within
is the key. All our ancient ceremonies were about getting the
person back to self and teaching that life is from within.
In all the
chaos today, how do we establish a positive rhythm to flow?: Chaos is about lack of one thing...that is your
breath. We establish a positive rhythm and flow by breathing
and utilizing the element of air.
In consideration of the atrocities around the planet
from the past and today, indigenous people must take responsibility NOW for
their lives in order to bring them back into balance. Only in doing this can we as indigenous people move
beyond the past.
Describe
your planet:
My planet is one that is evolving and is in constant
change, the times of the great flood and the times of the ice and snow are
still in our oral traditions and legends. We are in a time of awareness. In the
past, we lived our lives in the knowing that it was a do to process, all of
life responded with our planet. Today and in our recent past, we live in a do to
process and our planet is suffering for it.
Damage to
the planet...global warming. Where are we? How should the planet hold us
accountable?
Always and without exception the planet has shown us
that we are the stewards of her; that it will reflect back to us our thoughts
and decisions and more importantly our actions.
Perspective
on Extremism/Terrorism: Who is the extremist or terrorist? Bottom line, what
you put out will come back. There is nowhere else to run from it, so people
will fight back.
Current Global
Politics: Politics is about peoples unresolved past. This is the
great journey projected out from the masses. It's all about what people do not
want.
Media: Media creates the context of what people want to hear,
see, feel, taste and smell. Media is the great mirror. It helps to maintain the
illusion that life is outside of self.
International
Corporations: They come and go. They are short term. They will fail. The legacy they leave behind is a bunch of displaced people with thoughts and
memories of what was too bad.
