Take notice next time you point out at someone or something
else. There are always three fingers pointing back at you. Huh! Is there a slight possibility that maybe, just maybe that you
yourself may be part of the equation? What has led up to this moment where you
place blame outside of yourself? Consider how your actions or lack of may have
contributed. Consider how your own values or beliefs might be part of the cause.
Here is a tough one:
What part of yourself do you see in the other person that you don't like? Are
you any different than they? As a species, we typically place
blame outside of ourselves rather than inside, especially when discomfort arises.
How about on a larger
level?: Could it be possible that we, both individually and collectively,
may have played a role in our current economic situation? If so, is it possible that
part of the future success in turning the situation around might start and end
with our individual and collective efforts? Will it really be "government" that
will bring forth constructive changes? Never take the victim role of thinking there is nothing
you can do in a situation.
How about on happy
occasions?: A simple laugh or smile from you could be the catalyst that
gets the party going. It is not just the person that brings the refreshments.
Start taking responsibility for all things that happen.
So, you might have one finger pointing outward, but everything
else is pointing right back at you. The body doesn't lie. Where are you in the
equation? To find these answers, start by magnifying your sensory acuity in a
situation. In doing so, you will start gaining greater awareness of what is
going on and when things start to happen. Are you the cause or the effect or
are you both?
"The observer is always connected with and influences the
observed."
