Sean Swarner. He is a
34-year-old, two-time terminal cancer survivor and the first cancer survivor to
ever summit Mt. Everest. In October, he'll be participating in
this year’s Ford Ironman World Championship.
When Sean was 13, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma
and given three months to live. Amazingly enough, one year later, he
walked out of the hospital. Unfortunately, when Sean was 16, on a routine
check-up, he was diagnosed with Askin's Sarcoma and given just 14 days to live.
Miraculously, just over a year later, Sean walked out of the hospital again,
but with only one lung.
